Paula Yancey Steps Down Following Nearly Ten Years as City Manager
The City of Gautier extends its heartfelt gratitude to City Manager Paula Yancey, who stepped down at the end of September, after nearly ten years of dedicated service.
During her tenure, Paula oversaw some of Gautier’s most important achievements. From the opening of The Sound Amphitheater and acquisition of the former Singing River Mall site to major water and sewer improvements and upgrades to recreational and boating facilities, her leadership has left a lasting impact on our community.
Mayor Casey Vaughan shared his appreciation, noting that Paula’s passion, commitment, and expertise helped set Gautier on a new path of growth and opportunity saying, “her impact on Gautier will never be forgotten.”
As the recruitment process for the next City Manager moves forward, the City Council has appointed Chassity Bilbo, Parks and Recreation Director, as Interim City Manager. This ensures continuity in leadership and ongoing momentum.
The City of Gautier thanks Mrs. Yancey for her many years of service and wishes her the very best as she begins her next chapter.
