Message from the Mayor: CSX Closures

We understand the frustration surrounding the temporary closures of the Ladnier Road and Dolphin Drive railroad crossings. This maintenance was essential, and updates were shared with the public as soon as the City was notified by CSX. Our police and fire departments were immediately informed, and alternate procedures put in place to ensure the safety of our community.

We are actively working with federal and state officials, as well as CSX, on long-term solutions, including a proposed overpass, for which we’ve applied for a Federal Railroad Administration grant.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure safer, more efficient railroad crossings for all in Gautier.
