Mission Statement
The mission of the Gautier Fire Department is to provide protection of life, property, and environment for all citizens of our Fire District regardless of social status, race, or national origin.
This mission shall be accomplished through sound fire prevention practices, code enforcement, fire suppression programs, and rescue operations.
The Gautier Fire Department will also provide emergency medical aid at the contracted medical provider's request.
About the Department
The Gautier Fire Department has twenty-one full-time Firefighters, twelve Captains, three Battalion chiefs, one Fire Training Chief, one Fire Deputy Chief, and one Fire Chief. The fire personnel rotates three shifts by working on duty for 24-hour shifts and off duty for 48 hours. There are four fire stations in Gautier, each serving a section of the City. Fire Department Training
The Gautier Fire Department is trained in the following:
- Structural firefighting
- Emergency medical service
- Hazardous materials response
- Technical rescue
- Vehicle extrication
- Fire inspections
- Fire investigations
- Code enforcement and plans review
Citizen services include:
- CPR Certification Classes
- Fire Prevention Classes to schools, church groups, daycare facilities, nursing homes, and neighborhood associations.
