Located 2 miles south of the interstate along Gautier-Vancleave, the City of Gautier’s town center is experiencing revitalization. Anchored by City Hall and a new Justice Center to the west, redeveloping shopping and office centers to the east and south, Gautier High School to the north, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Gautier-Vancleave and Highway 90, Gautier invites your business to be part of our multi-million dollar revitalization.

Nature’s Playground

In 2010, the City Council appropriated grant funds for an outdoor amphitheatre, festival lawns and boardwalks along natural water tributaries located north of Dolphin Drive, encompassing approx. 35 acres.

Gautier Pride Inc. has embarked on a massive public art project, commissioning 50+ fiberglass gators, decorated by local artists, to be displayed within the town center and finally auctioned in November. Proceeds will fund permanent art sculptures along the soon-to-be-developed Singing River Boulevard.

Town Center Streetscape

In December 2008, the City received $6 million from the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) for its town center revitalization. The proposed streetscape improvements are to be located along Highway 90 between Beasley Road and Shamrock Road and around the Singing River Mall.  These improvements include: a multi-use pathway, decorative lighting, banners, decorative& hardscape features, landscaping/irrigation, roadway improvements, drainage improvements, and a gateway sculpture designed by world-renowned Gulf Coast artist Dean Mosher, encircled by a 2-lane traffic roundabout at the intersection of Dolphin Drive and William Payne Adams Blvd (soon to be renamed Singing River Boulevard). The final phase of construction will commence this year.
